	Also known as the sisters islands or twin islands because of the resemblance between them depending on your angle of view. From The city downtown (BR 101) it seems like it. It is the city main's Post Card and The picture at the first page of this site. The Botinas are the spot in the whole Angra Bay that has the clearest and cleanest waters.
	The bottom of clear white sand the depth of 10 meters near the islands shows us The Angra sea exuberance. There are many tales concerning The Botinas Islands. In one of them a huge pirate ship had crossed The Island dividing it in two perfect halves.
